Give us bit more information.  Does the LCD light up at all?  Is it full of decriminalized water?  Does the humidity light come on when you turn on the humidity? 

 

Turnoff all knob’s,  Open and close the door.  Turn-on and watch the screen. It show set temp for 3 seconds.  If you have nothing check your power and the curcuit breaker in the machine.

I have power, light comes on with some type of error message.  It is not a steam unit.

Some type of error message????  Like what does it say.  Most common is a thermistor error.  The sensing device that tells the computer what the box temperature is.

Message on the screen reads Prb.

How about that.  My guess was right.  prb is a probe error.  You’ll need your ML number to get the right one due to electronic control model.  this is the service manual to help you replace it;

No.  There should be a model (you already said it’s a VBP5), a serial number and a ML number on the data plate.
