    >We found out that the frequency inverter was defective so we purchase one to a local dealer

    By “local dealer”, do you mean a Cleveland authorized equipment dealer?

    I hope you didn’t get a generic control. Looks like Cleveland’s controller is an odball one with discrete forward/reverse and hi/low inputs.

    Did the new controller have the exact same pin designations as the old one?

    If you obtained an OEM controller, it would not need to be programmed.

    I don’t think you can use a stock VFD due to the feedback curcuit and two speed function of the original VFD.  This is the wiring of it

    Not knowing what brand and model  you are trying to to use makes it impossible for me to determine the features you VFD has.  Be aware that you also have to verify that the one you want to install has to meet the tempurature and cooling requirements for it as well.

    This is the drive;

    Hopefully you haven’t damaged the controller. Most aftermarket VFD’s come with configuration information.  Even the OEM has to be tweeked like the manual.

    Call Welbilt support?

    Did you get the OEM VFD?

    Nope, looking at it, you didn’t.

    I don’t think that was a good idea. These units are so darn custom and proprietary.

    Call welbilt and ask em, I bet they’ll tell you.

    Do they not have phones in Singapore?

    I’ve called Germany from the US.

    As much as I get a kick out of finding the same part cheaper and getting the same result, some things won’t work unless they are OEM, programmed things I believe are like that, you just won’t know it’s right.
