  • Our oven igniter was not working, got a replacement part.

When I installed the new part the broiler light came on but when I set the thermostat to broil the light did not come on and the igniter did not heat up. What could be the problem?

If your thermostat has a BROIL setting on it, then apparently your unit is residential one.  We don’t address residential appliance questions here.  Only commercial-grade equipment used in restaurants and such.

Wherever you might go to ask your question again, I suggest you provide a model number.  American Range made hundreds of models for both the commercial and residential markets.  There’s no way anyone can help you without your providing a good model number.
