T80 roll towel dispenser- new batteries but still get red light. What is the solution?

They only last a few years.  Try cleaning the eye that detects movement.  Often harsh cleaning chemicals cause corrosion to the electronics and wires from the battery compartment.  They are more a throw away item.  Cost of labor vs. replacement
