Unit only runs as long as you hold down power button.  Installed new control board.  Same thing.  If you push test mode button on board, then it gets going and works all day.  Unplug unit, and power it back up, then it doesn’t work again until you access the board and press test button, and then it works again???

I get that you have a 240 lb per day air cooled half dice ice machine,  but I need the series letter that precedes the Y to know what model it is for the correct control system.  Is this a under-counter machine?  Like a UY0240A?  If so, it uses water volume for harvest instead if ice thickness.

First off,  with all ice machines you have to make sure they are clean and level before going any farther into it. Mineral build-up on the evaporator or floats will make for erratic problems.  Dirty condensers will make long freeze cycles and cause out of spec errors that make the machine do a water harvest cycle. Be sure to use Manitowoc ice machine cleaner to avoid damaging the evaporator. Last if the machine is not level it will not harvest correctly or make the proper thickness of ice.

Let us know on the model.

YES, we needed to read a two-year-old thread.

Automated closing of a open thread maybe?
