how often should change a franke filter

I assume your talking about there Ice system filters.  If so I need a model number to help you.  And the machine capacity. The EcO3Ice X4 is every 50,000 gallons.  For those of you who have never heard of them,  They are a electrostatic filter that makes ozone to sanitize the water and lines.  Kills most bacteria, yeast, and mold. 

 

The Ozone is added to the incoming water and is supposed to treat not only the evaporator, but also the bin and drain lines.  Preventing any bio film build up and extending machine cleaning and sanitation times.  It does not prevent mineral build-up.
