  • Imperial ICV convection oven, pilot sensing?

On an Imperial ICV convection stove (6-8 yrs old), is there a termocouple or other device to signal the pilot is lit to allow gas to flow to the main mantel?  Our church just bought this building with the kitchen that had been sitting idle for 5 yrs.  This oven is the bottom of a dual oven. The upper oven works fine.  The bottom oven lights the pilot but the mantel will not come on.

I am a church member and my services are volunteer.  I’m not a stove technician with any kind of certification but have lots of casual experience with appliances.

Sounds like the unit is closer to 10 years or older. It sounds like the item you are referring to is a mercury
switch which is no longer available (due to EPA regulations). However, we do have a conversion kit available which is part # 37110 – List $216.78.

We do recommend having a licensed technician perform the work especially since this is a conversion.
