  • How do i change the rod belt on my Nieco unit?

I have a Nieco unit and the belt is mangled.

How would i remove the old rod belt to replace it with a new one?

There is a master link in the conveyor. run the conveyor until you find it. It’s best to stop the conveyor when the master link is near the idler shaft. Lift up on the shaft and Teflon blocks then pull out. Unhook the master link and remove rod belt. When installing the nea one remember they only go one direction so don’t put it on backwards.

Nieco units with the rod belt do not have a master link. Nieco has have rod belts that require a Nieco tool PN 9133 to open the belt. A pair of pliers may work but will require some muscle. Only the 6220 has master link that you can use/make. It has a wire belt not a rod belt. I hope this helps.

ryanreid1 is correct.  You can identify the master link as one of the knuckles will be cut in half.  Procedure below
