The griddle pilot is ignited using a long lighted match placed through the front control panel opening. Look for the pilot gas line and just behind the baffle next to the burner is the pilot. Adjustment of the pilot flame can be made with a screwdriver to the pilot valve, accessible through the valve cover. If unable to locate or light the pilot, turn the burner on and light the burner which in turn will light the pilot.

First off, verify that the valves are all off.  Then make sure that the main gas valve is on.

The pilots have a small valve in the front on the manifold for a 3/16 screw driver.  It is easier to remove the griddle or prop it up for initial set up.  With a hand igniter next to the pilot, turn the screw slowly counter clockwise till it lights.  Should be no more that 1/4 turn. Then the second one. Now turn on the burner and check for flame mix.  too much air will be lifting off the burner.  To little air will make a dirty flame with a small bit of yellow at the tips.  Adjust the carburetor plates on the burners accordingly.    Replace the griddle and it should light.
