Hi Glenn,
Â
True provides some information on their electronic temperature controls on their website. I found this information here:
https://prodtruestorage.blob.core.windows.net/sequencemanuals/Sequence-of-Operation-Manual.pdfÂ
Â
True has installed different types of electronic controllers across their model line. According to this manual, the only type that gives an alarm of p1 is a Dixell electronic temperature control.
These are the types of Dixell electronic temperature control:
If your True T-49F gives an error code p1, it means there is a thermostat probe failure.
Now, looking at this manual:Â http://download.partstown.com/is-bin/intershop.static/WFS/Reedy-PartsTown-Site/-/en_US/manuals/TRUE-T-49F_pm.pdfÂ
There are three types of temperature controls shown on page 8
True 884720 TEMP CONTROL KIT 077B1212 | Parts Town Â
800369 has been replaced by this:Â True 988266 TEMP CONTROL KIT 077B1212 | Parts TownÂ
800345 has been replaced by this:Â True 988271 TEMP CONTROL KIT 077B1264 | Parts TownÂ
Â
I recommend using True’s Serial Number Lookup on their website:Â True Manufacturing | Support | Serial Number LookupÂ
to find out all relevant information on your cabinet to ensure you are purchasing the correct part. The data plate should be inside the cabinet.
Â
Finally, I highly recommend you consult a licensed service professional for the replacement of this part.
