Funny that, for ALL of the COMMERCIAL ice machines I’ve worked on,  I’ve never worked on my own domestic ice maker…nor any others for that matter.  It’s not that I couldn’t figure it out and fix it myself.  I’ve fixed my own washer, dryer, dishwasher and stove.  I could certainly do it.

I used to jokingly tell folks that if I see a screwdriver while on my weekend, I’ll break out in a cold sweat.

Even though I own one of these,  They are computer controled and require the right software and patch cord to test and repair. Mechanical problems, fine.  I’ll fix it.  But boy do they like to charge for parts.  Even worst are the LG’s. They learned well from our auto industry.
