Groen HY 5G does not turn on, any suggestions
Had the unit Groen HY-5G Hypersteam for a little over a year. Recently the unit turns on sometimes, other times the water keeps draining and does not turn on, to generate steam.Â

Without being there to make a full and accurate assessment, I must take an educated guess by suggesting that limescale inside the steam generator and on the water probes is the problem.Â

Are you deliming your steamer REGULARLY by following the instructions on page 14 of this manual?

If NOT, then you’re w-a-y overdue.
Â
Before making an attempt at deliming it, answer a VERY important question:

Just after you turn the steamer OFF, do you see a steady stream of water dumping out as the steam generator drains?
If YES, then I suggest that you go ahead and delime the steamer. If you’ve neglected doing it before now, then you might want to repeat the deliming several times. If NO, then DO NOT attempt deliming it. Call a service company.
