My Rancillio Epoca E-1 has bits of material that look like fiberglass under the top and sprayed up around the edges. Any ideas?

I’m not certain if Rancilio does this, but there is a process of fiberglass spraying when casting plastic parts. The one side of the object will look unfinished, and there’s really nothing wrong with that. 

It is possible this is what we’re seeing here.

What’s your concern with the fiberglass? That it does not belong?

I think something has melted and shed/sprayed up on the sides and top of

machine.

inside?  Below the cup holder?  Is there a protectice coating on the cupholder?
