The fridge door will not stay closed and opens up causing the unit to continuously run and has now frozen over.

Yes, you can replace the gasket on this item. If you visit this link: Perlick Parts & Manuals | Parts Town

and provide a serial number in the red box, you can find the exact part you need.

You’ll need to unplug your unit to let the coils defrost. This will take a few hours, at least, depending on the level of frost. Expect water as the frost melts (put some towels down at the bottom of the fridge, or take the unit outside where draining isn’t a problem, if you can).

If the door won’t stay closed, you may also need to level the unit or even raise the front of the unit slightly to encourage the door to close properly. If the front of the unit is lower than the back, the door will be more likely to pop open when someone opens then closes the fridge.

    I hope this helps!

Was the machine leveled when it was installed.  If not, after loading with product  the weight will twist the box and distort it.  This makes the doors not want to stay closed.  Stand back and see if all is aligned and square.   Also look at the door gaskets on the hinge side for anything not where it belongs or a obstruction.  Sometimes the door gaskets come out of the groove and roll over.  This causes a high spot that makes it so the magnet will not keep it closed.

You should also check the door closer hinges for ramp wear. and freedom
