Bakers Pride BCO-E1 RTD Probe Replacement
I need to replace the RTD probe on an older Bakers Pride BCO-E1 convection oven. I am trying to figure out how the probe is supposed to be replaced. Am I supposed to snake it over from the control panel side? It seems like this would be difficult since the hole for the probe is so small and it is too short to guide it directly into the hole all the way from the side while holding the rigid metal (would have to try to push it with the wires). Seems like the other option would be to cut off the connectors on the old probe and try to use it to pull the new one through. AGain the size of the hole would make this difficult, but I am thinking maybe I can drill the hole for the probe out a little bit and then reseal with RTV silicone after the new probe is in (we don’t use the oven for food products).
