Hey everyone
So, our old drip coffee maker decided to retire this morning — right in the middle of brewing my first cup. My wife immediately declared it a “national emergency” and started scrolling for replacements before I could even finish my half-brewed caffeine puddle.She’s fixated on finding something sleek, quiet, and programmable — she loves her morning brew ready before she’s even out of bed. Meanwhile, I just want something reliable that won’t burn out after six months and actually makes strong, hot coffee every time.

From what I’ve read, the BUNN is a workhorse — fast, no-nonsense, great for consistent coffee. The Breville, though, looks like the fancy, tech-savvy option with precision temperature and brewing modes that sound straight out of a barista’s dream.
My wife’s leaning toward the Breville for the “smart” features and stainless-steel look. I’m leaning toward the BUNN because it’s built like a tank and doesn’t need Wi-Fi to make coffee.
Anyone here tried both? Is the Breville’s precision worth the higher price, or should I stick with the BUNN’s bulletproof simplicity?
