  • Best household tool kit-Valuable advice before buying

I researched the best mechanics/home tool kits as i recently moved into my first home and realized i don’t have the proper tools for basic repairs and projects. i have been experiencing frustration every time something small breaks or needs fixing around the house and i end up borrowing from neighbors. i went through reviews from trusted sources like new york times wirecutter and tech gear lab and after comparing many options these two kept coming up as the top choices:

    DEWALT Mechanics Tool Kit
    https://www.amazon.com/DEWALT-Mechanics-Tools-Kit/tdp/B00U0P0GHM?th=1

    WORKPRO Home Tool Kit

    https://www.amazon.com/WORKPRO-Home-Tool-Kit/dp/B010A6ZBX4/?th=1

however, i am having trouble deciding which one would be better for me and i would love to get your expert advice and hoping maybe some homeowners, contractors, or diy enthusiasts on this forum can also share their advice.

i usually just need tools for light repairs, furniture assembly, and the occasional car maintenance, but i don’t want to regret not getting the more complete option if it’s worth it. any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.

    thanks in advance

This question is going to get you a variety of responses, as we all have our own personal experiences that push us towards certain tools or away from others. In my opinion, the best value (bang for your buck) for power tools for the occasional use for minor home repairs, or DIY projects around the house is Ryobi. I haven’t used WORX enough to have a detailed opinion, however, DeWalt, in my opinion, while they are usually pretty good quality, are not worth the price tag for occasional home use.

If you think you’ll do more car work and want better long-term quality, go DEWALT.
