Currently work on a Dean fryer model SCFD5020GNTS/MC for a Penn Station – having issues dropping control voltage when switch is turned on. Can anyone give some insight?

Interesting. Question is do you have standing pilot or electronic ignition. With electronic it automatically goes into a melt when the tank is less than 180F where it fires for about 3 seconds and waits for 24 seconds before re-firing.

Most Dean’s are Frymasters lower end and simple machines. Mechanical temp controls. But they have built a lot of different controls for the DECATHLON series.

Not knowing if you are looking at 115V, 24volt, or millivolts puts me at a disadvantage. Where exactly are you measuring and what do you lose?
