Dewalt hands down. Our Dewalt drill is our go to for pretty much all our projects.

I was dewalt for years but when Milwaukee started to catch on in Ireland I tried them out and never looked back. There a lot more sturdy and can take a beating I drop my drill a lot. I have 14 m18 powertools at the moment and more to ad to the collection

When i first started in the carpentry trade at 14 years old (working with my dad) I started out with DeWalt, I noticed the batteries dint last quite a long ass Milwaukees do. I was constantly swapping g and charging batteries like crazy. I find that Milwaukee batteries just have a longer charge life. Be sure not to over charge batteries because that can cause the lifespan of batteries to shorten. I find the ove quality of milwaukee tool to be ifnbetter quality

I found besides battery which is a given both Dewalt and Miwaukee power tool tend to lose their black rubber grip cover in a few years. This is only for battery power tool. I have the plug in Milwaukee Magnum Hole Shooter 1/2″ drill for 40 years now and it’s still working fine.

I have Dewalt but to be honest I like Milwaukee better it has better options then Dewalt in my opinion.

At work (woodshop) I use DeWalt’s 20V MAX. This brand is very reliable and with the bigger batteries I get a full day out of the tools. I make it a habit to charge the batteries daily and not leave the batteries on the charger. One complaint, off the top of my head, is that the standard drill chuck on the standard ½” drill driver loosens when used extensively. With that said I tend to use the ¼” impact driver more often…but you must have the right attachments for the ¼” driver. When the battery on the DeWalt is week (needing recharging) the tool slows to a crawl while in use.
At home I use Milwaukee M18. I do have both my woodworking tools and automotive tools. I stay busy with projects and weekend builds. I have the same habits, likes and complaint with the Milwaukee as previously mentioned with the DeWalt. In my experience the Milwaukee battery will work full torque and speed until the end. I do not get much warning that the battery needs charging while in use.
I used to use a ½” air impact to help me break loose old nuts and bolts on older vehicles. The one time I needed an impact wrench, and I could not access an air compressor, I bought Milwaukee’s ½” high torque impact…have not used air tools in three years.
Both brands feel good in the hand, and, in my mind, I take care of my tools so they take care of me (sounds weird out loud). Hope this helps a bit.

I feel they are both really good. At home I have dewalt but at work I have used a lot of Milwaukee tools also. A guy at work has a 1″ drive impact from Milwaukee and was trying to change a tractor tire that they couldn’t get with air tools and grabbed his Milwaukee and it had no problems getting the nuts off. So that tells me Milwaukee definitely has the power and I am not sure if dewalt has anything like that. But if you are just looking at the normal impact and drill they are very comparable.
