It depends on the amount of sealing bars that you have, either 1 or 2. Each one takes about 22 inches of wire (element). There is one wire that is flat and used to seal the bag and one wire that is round which cuts the scrap portion of the bag enabling you to rip it off easily, your local restaurant equipment  supply should carry the wires (I know my company does) or you can go direct to http://helpcenter.minipack.us/
