    Vulcan oven pilot light is on but burner not turning on?

    That’s a range unit with an oven that has a fan in it, right?  A convection oven? 

     

    I know them ALL too well.

     

    Is the fan running when you close the door? 

    • If it DOESN’T, there’s an issue with the door switch or wiring to it…or the rocker switch.
    • If it DOES, then there’s a gauntlet of other possible problems.
      • Possibly a faulty thermostat
      • Possibly a faulty solenoid valve
      • Possibly a faulty centrifugal switch inside of the fan motor
      • Possibly some faulty wire connection or something has fizzled inside of the wire harness’ 12-pin connector.
      • There’s a rare (and I mean R-A-R-E) possibility that the pilot safety valve is bad.
