I have a GC512 with a failed gear drive. How is the hub assembly removed? Looks like it uses a wrench similar to a grinder wheel removal tool. Do I need to purchase special tools and if so where can I get them? Thank you.

I know they have several models, but I think you remove the blade guard and blade then you can drive it out w a punch from the back side where the knob for the blade guard was. Be EXTREMELY careful w the blade. I work w a guy who’s missing half a finger from repairing a slicer. I believe there’s a tool for removing the blade that would make it a lot safer. I use metal gloves when working on slicers.

Yes! Thank you! Your were correct. Pull the blade guard locking shift, remove 30mm nut from where that shift goes in, and then drive it out. Looks like all this thing needs is a spur gear and some cleaning. Happy with my $250 purchase so far lol.

I get these gloves as part of my PPE at work. The brand is HyFlex model number I think is 11-727. Size 9 for L/XL hands.
