Anytime a range is moved from one location to another, it has to be recommissioned. This includes supply to be adequate for the appliance and of the correct gas and pressure. Also a complete mechanical inspection of burners, thermostat mounting, doors, gaskets, hinges, venting, and stabilization. Especially look at thermostat cap tubes to not be kinked or have rub spots/wear.
With a used gas appliance one must verify that it is what the label say’s and has not been converted to a different gas at some point. This is done by checking the burner orifices for the manufacturer’s spec.. Good time to clean them and the carburetors. Also one has to level gas appliances. Gravity effects chimney flow. Ovens must be level for product quality. Gas hook-up needs to be tested for pressure and the appliance pressure set with a manometer. A full flow test is also recommended. Air mixtures set. Especially if unit was at a different altitude, or a different gas system. Not all gas has the same therm value. If on wheels, the quick connect has to be the right size and fully cupelled. after gas pressures are set one has to adjust the piolets and the air mix on all flames. Then test the thermostats to be calibrated correctly. This includes a by-pass test and setting.
