Scotsman ice maker cu0920ma-1A
Harvesting issues!! Already completed the water inlet valve replacement as well as bin thermostat which seem damaged due to neglect and rust. I allowed the unit to run for 10h+ after replacing the water inlet valve and bin thermostat unit produced very little ice maybe about 7 cubes. next theory is changing the current condenser fan motor which has resistance of 0.

can you provied a little more details? is there no harvest at all? what was the original issue? when was it last cleaned?

Last cleaned 04/19 been sitting idle until now. From the beginning the ice is forms on the top evap it doesn’t release into the bin completing the full cycle. I was later informed that the inlet water valve and tube need to be replaced and cleaned

Is the evaporator making a full sheet of ice, or just a partial? Partial would indicate you have a refrigeration problem. Yes, condenser fan will cause that. But so would uneven water flow over the evaporator.

Yes, the evap has a full try of ice. I have set the proper thickness to harvest and the same issue still occurs. Today I’m going to begin cleaning the condenser coil being that I’m replacing the fan motor.

Update after replacing the condenser fan motor and thoroughly cleaning the coils. Unit seems to be functioning properly will leave it running overnight.
