  • Hobart programs getting slower during the day

Posted by coffeegeek on June 6, 2020 at 8:13 am

Hello! We have a Hobart AMX-10A dishwasher which works perfect from the morning. Halfway through the day, we clean the machine inside and then run the hygiene program which refills the machine with fresh water. After this the standard 90sec program takes much longer (approx. 180 seconds). From the morning the next day, it’s all over again. Anything I can do? Or look for?

They must be hitting the program button. It has 4 positions. 1 is the boot cycle, short. 2 is a medium cycle, 3 is a long cycle, and 4 is continuous.

You never said what indications are on the power button. Flashing Green is waiting for fill or temp. Solid green is ready. Blue is running. Alternating blue, red it’s time to clean the strainer.

You can find a manual here. http://www.hobart.co.kr/data_file/IO-AMX-v1.4.pdf

My guys didn’t say anything about the power button color. I think they would notice and tell me. And they always use the “standard 90sec” program. This has consistently been an issue with the evening/night shift. Never in the morning. Problem starts just after the mid-day cleaning/replacing of water.

It’s the version with graphics display, not digits. So the program button lacks, but it has arrow up/down and select.

We had a technician today, and it turned out to be the hot/cold water valve (internal in the machine?). Flipped it over, and everything was ok.

What do you mean “flip it over” Unless your machine has a condenser hood for steam, they only have a hot water supply. I have seen the prewash station left open with both valves open and no check valves causing cold water to supply back feed to the machine, But never a dual supply to a dish machine. What’s your ML number?
