I have a good amount of Manitowoc Ice Machines Model ID1203W-261. I am constantly getting T3 & T4 fault codes. I clear them out clean the machines spotless and the machine still goes into long harvest… I have replaced all 3 thermistors, the ice thickness probe, the water inlet valve..everything that the internet says it could be. Now it barely makes ice and all of sudden says Full Bin. Any Ideas? Could it be the area they are kept is to hot or something or are they just bad machines?

Did you use their troubleshooting ladder?

    Why were the thermistors replaced?

What is the ambient temp they are in and the water temp to the condenser?

As for full bin, does it have the optional bin sensor or does it work off the curtain magnet?

Yes I used their troubleshooting ladder. I replaced the thermistors because when I was getting the T3 & T4 fault codes and looked up the causes that was one of the causes I found. The Ambient temp around them ranges from 70-88 degress F. WE are in a prison and with no AC in the kitchen and housing Units. Im not an HVAC guy im more of plumbing but Im responsible for keeping the machines running. and for the bin sensor t works off the curtain magnet.

Ok, a 1200 lb ice machine is sizable. Indigo’s are some of the best out there. In the service menu one can easily check inputs. A open thermistor will show -22F and a shorted one will show 475F. Depending on if you have a 48 inch or 30 inch machine the thermistors may do a different function. Check your evaporator to see if it has a single feet or double feed. One should always test a termistor with a ohm meter before replacement. Normally the T3 is evaporator in and the T4 evaporator out. Clean proper bonding of the probe to the tubes is important.

I believe that on the 1200 there is 3 magnetic switches for harvest. One on the curtain, and one on each side of the harvest bar. There is a procedure in the service manual using the keypad you can test them. They are in series and once the machine trips on full bin it will not start for 3 min. The manual is here. Bin switch starts on page 170

What error codes come up besides bin full? And is the machine shutting down on safety?

Full Bin only happen once. Now its going into safe mode. Im going to go through that procedure and see what happens.
