    I have a steam kettle Cleveland KGL-100, while using it cuts off, when I reset the socket it keeps going off

    There may be a short somewhere in the unit. Check the potentiometer and the resistence of the potentiometer. You should have 0 OHMs at its highest setting and 50,000 OHMS at its lowest setting.

    gnasty, it can be a number of things on a gas fired steamer. The service manual is here and on page 4 they have the whole sequence for you to find out accurately what is the problem. When was the last time it was de-limed

    Could be a number of things, but generally for a GFCI to trip, if that's what's tripping, it's a short circuit, could be the combustion blower motor windings, or the gas valve coil windings, or a bad cord, or a chafed wire.

    Many options, we'd need more info.
