I have a tilt skillet that will not tilt completely up. Motor and actuator have been replaced along with the capacitor. It seems to struggle, the motor gets hot and then completely stops tilting I have to let it sit for half a minute or so for it to start moving again. I’m not sure what else to do with it. It does have 24 volts going to it but as it uses the power, voltage dwindles down to 0. thats when it completely quits.
    Thanks

The 24 volt is only for relay/temp control. Not the tilt motor. You have 2 transformers, one from 208,230, 240 volts input to 110 volts out that has taps to your tilt system. it then goes thru a diode bridge rectifier to make 90 volts DC to your tilt switch.

What may be your problem? I would check your trunnions for excessive friction first. Next the gears system. Then look at motor or switching to the motor. Being a DC motor, it may have brushes that are worn or hanging. Pull one and look with a light at the armature for arcing signs or black on the commutator. Check spring tension and that the brush retaining caps are tight for conductivity.
