Slushie Machine Autofill
Looking for options for keeping a slushie machine hopper constantly full. We operate 4, 2 hopper slushie machines freezing Ciders and Juices at our local fairs and the time it takes to freeze a “new batch” is inconsistent. I believe some kind of autofill or trickle system would alleviate our issues by keeping new cider constantly introduced to previously frozen cider. Anybody know of any kind of systems available or a DIY suggestion?
We currently have the cider precooled in a jacketed dairy tank and pipe the cider to the machines and bulk fill but an automatically controlled fill would be ideal.

Interesting concept. Necessity has always been the mother of invention. A tank cooler, sanitary positive displacement pump, and a timer circuit would probably work. Set the volume on the timer to be equivalent of one glass. Then trip it at every serving. Add a bypass to fill and flush/sanitize. Milk coolers would work if you can get the cider boxed in 5 gallon boxes.
