8888 Error Code Diagnostics

Here are the possible causes for the 8888 error code and how to fix them:

• Loose connections – There is a gray cable that runs from the main board to the display board. Ensure the cable is securely plugged into both boards. 
• Wrong cable – It’s possible when a new board was installed, the multi colored ribbon was installed between the main and display boards. Be sure the right cable is present, it should be gray with one stripe of red. 
• Loose plug connection – It’s possible on that gray ribbon cable for the plug to loosen from the cable. Tightly squeeze it so it pierces the insulation on the wire.
