Antunes Egg Station Diagnostics: Taking Too Long to Cook

Struggling with a unit that won’t heat up fats enough? Is product taking too much time while customers are sick of waiting? If you’re seeing these in the notes for your service call, you need to get a fix fast so the unit can get back to temperature. This guide will cover Antunes egg station diagnostics for a unit that’s taking too long to cook.

Antunes Egg Station Taking too Long to Cook

  • Greasy cooking surface – Only the inside of the egg rings should be getting sprayed. If end users have applied too much and oversaturated the surface with grease it could cause the unit to take too long to heat up. Check for grease buildup by adding water to the surface. The water should be steaming, not bubbling. If you see bubbling, remove the grease with a paper towel and clean the unit.
  • Sticking relay – Check resistance and voltage on the relay to ensure it’s not sticking open. If the relay isn’t getting the proper readings it may need to be replaced. You will use your multimeter to check voltage from the terminal block to the relay and the DC voltage. Make sure the wires aren’t reversed either. These readings should be done while the unit is at temperature.
  • Improper thermocouple readings – Check the thermocouple resistance to make sure it has the proper readings. This can also lead to the unit taking too long to cook. If readings are wrong, the part may need to be replaced. These readings should be done while the unit is at temperature.
