Dormont Quick Disconnect Installation
bytechtown
Make sure that all parts are connected and attached properly when operating a gas appliance. To learn proper Dormont Quick Disconnect installation steps, check out the steps we have below. We will help you through 3 different installation options, plus some extra notes on proper installation to ensure that your hose can have a long lifespan.Â
Installation Notes
- Sharp Bends – Prevent any bends or kinks in the Dormont quick disconnect gas hose. These can strain the hose and cause failure at the coupling. To avoid this, make sure the end fittings are parallel and the appliance is set far enough from the wall.Â
- Twisting – The hose twisting can cause premature failure from unnecessary strain. Prevent this by ensuring that both the couplings and the gas connector are on the same vertical plane.
- Fatigue – Incorrect bending diameters between the couplings can cause a double bend that fatigues the fittings.Â
- Restraining Cable – Make sure that the restraining cable connector isn’t kinked when the restraining cable is fully extended.
