How to Measure The Whalen Company Fan Assembly for Replacement

In the event your Whalen Company fan assembly needs to be replaced, be sure to check for the serial number or model number to ensure you send the manufacturer the information needed for the correct replacement. In the event you can’t find it, or it’s so worn you can’t read it, you’ll need to take a few measurements to confirm which unit you have.

Tools Needed to Measure a Whalen Fan Assembly

  • Tape measure or caliper
  • Notepad
  • Flashlight
  • Model/serial information from the unit nameplate

Taking the Measurements

If you don’t have the serial number, you’ll need to take a few measurements for the manufacturer in the event they need to replace the unit you’re working on. Here are the measurements you’ll need to take:

  • Discharge length: Measure the length of the wheel from one side to the other.
  • Discharge width: Measure the width of the wheel from one side to the other.
  • Overall height: Measure straight up and down from edge to edge of the unit.
  • Overall width: Measure side to side across the unit.
  • Fan wheel diameter: Measure straight across the wheel from edge to edge.
