SunTouch Thermostat Temperature Calibration Issue
bytechtown
If the SunTouch floor heater unit you’re working on is experiencing an issue with the thermostat temperature calibration, there are several steps you can take as a technician to alleviate the problem. Follow our guide below to resolve the problem fast for your client.
This guide is applicable for several SunTouch SunStat Pro II models, including the 500775-BB, 500775-HB, 500775-SB and 500775-WB.
Calibration Steps
- Step 1—Access calibration mode by pressing and holding the SETUP button for 1 second. The display will show “CAL” along with the current sensor temperature, along with the offset value.
- Step 2—Adjust the offset as needed by pressing the + or – buttons.
- NOTE—Make sure that the adjustments don’t cause the temperature readings to exceed safe limits for the heating system, and overheating specific floor coverings.
- Step 3—Save the new temperature offset by pressing OK on the display. The thermostat will then return to the home screen.
Temperature Sensor Error Codes
If an error code is showing up on the thermostat display, here is a breakdown of what each one means:
- Err1—Potential mismatch with the floor sensor type.
- Err2—Crossed floor sensor wires.
- Err3—Floor sensor wires aren’t properly connected.
