How to Disassemble TurboChef Conveyor Oven End Bells

To access parts for replacement and repairs, you need to be able to take equipment apart. This guide will show you how to disassemble TurboChef conveyor oven end bells so you can get to the components without causing additional damages.

This guide applies to the TurboChef HhC 1618, 2020 and 2620.

TurboChef HhC End Bells Disassembly

• Step 1. Remove the back panel – Loosen and remove the 4 phillips screws from the back panel. Keep in mind, a cooling fan is attached to the back panel so don’t let it drop or the wires to the fan could get ripped off.
• Step 2. Disconnect the cooling fan – Disconnect the molex connection that connects the cooling fan. There may be a zip tie present that will need to be cut.
  • Note: Don’t forget to reconnect this when reassembling the unit. 
• Step 3. Swing the end bell backwards – To better access the components, you need to open the end bell. Remove the chain guard and drive chain. Then you can remove the four screws mounting the end bell to the oven. The end bell can then swing backwards to open it up.
  • Note: There are several cable management clips that will be present. Swing the end bell open slowly to avoid damaging wires. Disconnect any wires that appear to be preventing you from easily opening it.
