Whalen Company 2 Pipe Fan Cycle Fan Coil Order of Operations

  • The thermostat sends power to the aquastat.
  • The aquastat, if in heat mode and there’s hot water in the pipes, will allow the fan signal to energize a fan cycle relay, which turns the fan on.
  • If in cooling mode, while there’s hot water in the risers, it will not allow the fan cycle relay to engage, so the fan won’t work.
