I only see discussions about Hobart dishwashers, what about Champion, Stero, Hobart is not the only fish in the sea?

Yes thank you, there are others and they can compete with Hobart.

I haven’t seen people post issues with the others models mentioned. No idea why.

I know at my complex each building uses Hobart dishwashers and nothing else.

@fixbear any opinion on reliability in this department?

    i.e. who makes the best?

They aren’t as impossible to find manuals on. ITW and there protection policy. Also, when it comes to larger conveyor machines, Hobart does have a design advantage. But with door machines I tend to like a simpler approach.

      That makes sense.

I figured that every brand of dishwasher had their manuals locked up. But learn new things every day.

Living in the Schenectady, NY area that centered around GE and Alco till the Welch era, I was fortunate to have seen many ideas and inventions before public release. The first portable dishwasher was made and provided to the GE President for testing and use. He had it for about 10 years. He then gave it to my aunt (his assistant) who used it at home for another 10 and at her camp for another 10 before giving it to me to fix and use. I used it for 8 years before upgrading to a built in. I believe it was built about 1947-1948, but not certain on that. All the early ones were top load. But this one had a grinder on the impeller to remove all debris. No start buttons or timer. Close the lid and away you go. Simple and log lived.
