Looking for a wiring diagram for a refrigerator/Freezer model # AD232W-X0010
We have a commercial refrigerator/freeze that keeps icing up and would like to find a wiring diagram for it.

First off, I can’t find your model number. And since A models are a rare bird, I have to guess on this. Question is is it a freezer or cooler. Hobart’s Heritage list does show a A model, but is very vague and generalized. Your model given will not come up. Does it have electronic controls or mechanical?

As for wiring diagram, Other than the one attached to the machine, I doubt you will find one. Hobart does not like to share.Â

As far as Ice up, Check the door gaskets, The way users are using it (open, hot containers, extended open times. high humidity placement)), The temp setting (should be in the middle).Â

If it continues to be a problem, And is mechanical control, Change out the temp control. If someone already changed it and used a A30 Ranco type, it will ice up. They have to have a constant cut in (A12 type) that comes in at 37 to 38 degrees and is bonded to the evaporator for sensing. If freezer, test the defrost timer curcuit for the timer working and the coil temp sensor, heaters working.If the temp sensor goes open, no heat.

If electronic control, Test the evaporator sensor and that it is bonded to the coil. Check to outputs on the controler that the heaters get power. Sometimes the board relays do go.

There is one other cause on coolers, Low charge. It has enough for the machine to cool, but not have the off cycle for defrost. So it keeps running and building ice like mid coil. Then travels farther the longer it runs but never fully reaches set temp.
