    I have a fetco cbs-2052e coffee brewer shorting out the power supply board. The brewer is 208 volt. As soon as the machine is plug in and press the power button below the brewer, it takes out the power supply board. fetco cbs-2052e

    Definitely a short somewhere.  You should troubleshoot that and find it.  Replacing those power supplies supplies can get expensive.

    If you are popping power boards, It sounds like high voltage.  The control circuit uses a nuetral and one leg (L1)  to power the board. then the board powers the SCR’s for the heaters.  Input across N and L1 has to be 120 volts (approx)  They only need 5 volts output for them.

     

    Are actually blowing the board, or the fuses on the board.?

    Can’t tell you much more than that someone needs to put a multimeter to it to troubleshoot it.  If you’re not capable or knowledgeable on how to do that, then call a service company.  That’s what they do for a living.

    Shardin2,  Do you have the electric code for this machine so I know what way it was configured?  It will look like a E520__.

     

    Also check the Molex connectors For the step down control transformer in the bottom.  If the machine has a nuetral feed, it is not used.  But if not and you only have 208 to the machine The plugs have to be switched so the black goes to white. Not white white, black black.  Not all the machines were provided with the transformer.  However if done wrong at installation it does overpower the board.

     

    Being you have 208V, you have 3 phase. Is the machine wired for single or 3 phase?
