    Hello,
We have a Blodgett zephaire-GL at our church and the motor burnt out. We had a lot of trouble locating a replacement motor and after a while were told this was it and sent one. The wiring is similar but not the same. We are having trouble trying to wire the system.

Old motor AO Smith P# 2-173937-02
new motor (from parts town) Blodgett 32291

I am starting to think this isn’t the correct motor. The new one doesn’t have a blue or yellow wire like the old one did. Any help would be appreciated, trying to get this thing going for mothers day weekend! Thank you

I know Blodgett made some changes to the unit through out the years and have changed motors. I believe they use an FIR motor currently. I will look further into this and confirm. In most cases they usually have an instruction sheet in their retro Kits. did you happen to see any instructions? Do you have a serial number?

the new one did not come with any paperwork. I wish it had. Did you want serial number of the motor or oven?

      Blodgett S# 032306ya095Z

      Old motor S# CB04-10

I don’t have the new motor serial number at the moment, but the part number from the website is above

The older versions had a single speed motor. The replacement is a two speed.

Somewhere on or in the machine will be a wiring diagram. I don’t know if your machine has a interlock for fan, but that is normally a wiring harness coming out of the motor with 2 browns for the safety. White will be the neutral and the blue and yellow will be high and low. Providing the motor is not multi voltage.

A picture of the wiring schematic, the old motor terminals or wires, and the new motor would give me a better idea of what you have to be able to assist you.
