Awesome olivero! I actually thought of you when I read this question.
One thing to add. It might actually still glow and still be bad. The resistance reading you’d suggested is the true test. The last time I had a hot surface ignitor (HSI) glowing, but not lighting the burner, I think its resistance reading was somewhere up around 100 ohm. That particular one (in a Nieco broiler) was designed to have a resistance similar to what you’d stated. So…YUP! The ohmmeter said it all.
