I am hoping you can give me some assistance. We have one of our ovens that is somewhat irregular in its alarming. It worked two days no problem. It has been alarming code E01 (Cavity Probe Open/shorted) and then if you switch it to off it starts giving you error code E02 (Boiler Probe Open/shorted) . When it does this I can go into Diag(7378) and it shows every probe open. I have replaced the relay board with two different (new)boards, and tried a new main board. I have replaced the cavity probe inside the oven (which tested good, thought maybe intermittent). Before the replacement of the boards I used the resistor blocks that come with them and all of the probes inputs showed good. When you turn the oven on, it works for about 10 minutes while heating up then goes into the above.

Any direction here would be appreciated,

    Thanks

There are a couple of things that would help us here.

1, The type of controller you have.

2,  The last time it was de scaled.

3,  Are you reading the error code on the temp control or the inverter?

As for getting into the diagnostic, the oven has to be in the off position and a passcode entered.  Now if it shows open like you say, you need to depower the unit and remove the panel to get to the ack of the temp controler.  The 4 spade terminals in the top corner are the probes. top two are the chamber temp probe and the bottom two are the boiler.  With a good DVOM remove the wires and ohm the probe.  They should be  At 75° 1090 ohm’s and at 300° 1575 ohm’s They are polarity sensitive, so if connected wrong, they will show a error.

Hope this helps, let us know.

    thanks for quick reply.

    1. Manual Control (P/N 53697)

    2. Delimed every Tuesday and Friday but not since these problems its been off.

    3. Reading the codes I spoke of from the temp control readout on front of oven. Oven off and Diag code 7378 entered then to various probes

I am a little confused about the spade terminals you speak of . These boards do not have spade terminals at the top. this is a pic of the back of what I call the main board(back of control board on drop down door on the front of oven

Yes it has the ability for a meat probe but it has never been used.

Do people have issues with the condensation in these ovens? It seems like rust/corrosion could be an issue it looks to me

That narrows it down to 3 posible designs. How about a serial number or date of manufactorer

Do you have a quality DVOM?  If so did you test the original cavity probe and the output of the 24 volt power supply. It doesn't make sense that it shows all probes open unless you lack the power to the temp control or the comunication cable from the temp control to the main board is bad.

Fixbear thank you for putting up with me. I may have found the problem and its is a strange one. The delime pump line is routed over the steam discharge line. it looks like the line has cooked and split and is on the steam side of the pump. it was leaking steam into the cabinet and overheating the cavity. I had not noticed the steam leak until now. the oven has been running today with out issue. Thank you again, if I have any issues I surely will return to this forum. thanks again
