Anyone working on commercial kitchen equipment knows the challenges faced every day as you keep things running. That is one of the driving forces behind techtown, and why we're building this amazing community.
With all the different types of expertise needed in the average kitchen, techtown is looking for technicians who are interested in contributing to the site. We're really open to almost any topic you face on a daily basis, and in almost any format (stories, images, or video). To be clear; this is a paid opportunity as we believe you should be compensated for your knowledge and time. How much we pay depends on the length of the story and the format you write it in.
Some examples of topics we're looking for:
- “This is what I repaired today” – a detailed story outlining what you worked on today, what the problem was, and how you managed to fix it.
- Repair tips – some of your personal tips on repairing stubborn equipment, or shortcuts you've found for getting the job done right.
- Tool reviews – real-world reviews of your favorite tools. Whether it is a hot new backpack or your trusted digital gauges, there is always someone out there who can benefit from your expertise and experience.
You get the idea – but there are of course 100's of other topics we're interested in, and we'd love to hear your ideas. If you've come across it on the job, chances are someone else could benefit from learning more about it.
Interested? Take the next step and send us an email. We'll get in touch and help you through the simple process. You do NOT need to be an experienced writer and there are no minimum expectations, but of course, we hope that you'll become a regular contributor!
