Hobart HTi 3.3: imported Store Graphic previews but prints blank; supported management interface?
I own a Hobart HTi-7LS25 retail label scale for our small business, Winkle Berry. Application 3.3.0; Scale Management Backend 3.2.37. I am looking for firsthand service experience with two unresolved issues.
Printed logo: With 2.25 x 3 inch labels and label type 23, the original Thank You Store Graphic prints. An imported replacement previews correctly and is selected in Store Information, but its region prints blank; the product text, price and barcode still print. Native USB import reports no errors. We tried 153 x 102 pixel black/white PNGs at 72 dpi, matching the original displayed dimensions, in grayscale, indexed and RGB encodings with short filenames. Reloading the product and a normal shutdown/restart did not fix it. Selecting the original Thank You again restores printed artwork. USB export contains the imported PNGs unchanged. Customer-display advertising works separately.
Does this generation require a printer-format conversion, registration/download step, particular image encoding, or firmware-specific fix for printed graphics? An exact supported procedure or working image specification would help. A targeted label/store-information backup reported five errors without details, so I do not consider that a complete graphics backup.
Network management: Controlled USB product name, price and ingredient edits/restores have worked. I would like to manage the existing products over Wi-Fi. Upshop confirmed that their Hobart communications use TCP 6000. Our scale accepts a connection there without an unsolicited greeting; that alone does not identify the service. Does anyone know the actual HTi protocol name/version, whether Quantum compatibility applies, or a publicly shareable SDK/manual and documented read-only identity or product request? Exact compatible HTe/HCT, SMP/ePlum, Gware or other client versions and legitimate single-scale evaluation options would also help. Windows is available.
The manuals mention Supervisor/Service USB keys. What is the documented owner provisioning/replacement route or part number, and which diagnostic functions do those keys enable on this version? Pointers to official firmware compatibility/recovery documentation are welcome. I want to preserve the working firmware and calibration.
Please keep advice in this discussion; no credentials, private customer data or restricted installers are requested. AI assisted with organizing these notes; the physical tests were performed on my own scale.
Jason, Winkle Berry
