    How do I determine the age of my Nieco unit?

    How can you tell how old a Nieco unit is?

    I am trying to make sense of the serial number.

    I’m not familiar with nor can I find any documentation that breaks down the serial number for Nieco units. Best advice would be to call their technical support department @ 707-284-7100 and they should be able to pull it up.

    1ST DIGIT= LAST NUMBER OF YEAR MANUFACTURED

    2ND DIGIT= DECADE (0=80S, 1=90S AND 2=00)

    3RD DIGIT IS THE QUARTER IS WAS MANUFACTURED

    Most units have a one year warranty with the exception of the 6220 toaster.
