I am trying to replace the counterbalance springs on my Doughpro 1800 dough press. Can you provide instructions?
Both counterbalance springs broke on my pizza dough press so I am not sure of orientation or where they mount. Can someone provide an instruction sheet? It is a Doughpro 1800

In the manual there’s an exploded diagram what may help with placement and orientation. I also included it below for easy viewing.
Numbers 39 and 67 are the left and right counterbalance springs.

I noticed the exploded diagram for the DoughPro Proluxe PP1818 is very similar to the 1800. Plus, the diagram on this is a bit clearer: http://download.partstown.com/is-bin/intershop.static/WFS/Reedy-PartsTown-Site/-/en_US/manuals/DPR-PP1818AB_spm.pdf
It looks like the Doughpro Proluxe 11094930 BUSHING, SPRING (NYLON), PP180 | Parts Town goes into the two springs and the Doughpro Proluxe 11094923 PIVOT TUBE, MS128 PP1800 MPT90 | Parts Town goes inside of all of those. Again, the diagram on this post isn’t 100% the same as the above diagram, but it helped me visualize the issue a bit better. Perhaps with the machine in front of you, you’ll see it even clearer than I can.

That tension tool is key. Keeps your face in place and keeps your fingers from getting crushed. Most guys say “Nah I don’t need it.” Until they call back and realize they could have saved 2+ hours out of their day or avoided a bruise if they just bought it.
