Can u change a lincoln impinger conveyor oven from 3 phase to single phase

With that said, Lincoln’s index of various models all correlate to a specific electrical input.  A given oven is LISTED for a specific type of input…and no others. 

 

So…can it be done? 

– Maybe.  I’d have to study the schematic and the components to be sure.  However, you didn’t provide a model, so woun’t be doing that.

 

So, would I?

–  Not if it isn’t in writing (from the manufacturer) that it can be done.  I didn’t see such instructions delineated in the few random manuals I pulled up.

Christy,  Like Ectofix said, without a model AND serial number on this one we can’t possibly advise you.  Lincoln has made Impingers for many years and many models.  And power requirements are very specific with resistance heating. US 3 phase power is commonly 208 volts.  Single phase is normally 240 volts. That means at a minimum a change in heating elements.  But on many Impingers, it also means a cone change to the back of the oven. 5 Grand or more.   Some of these ovens are 180KW.  That’s a lot of power for even 3 phase.  Most are not convertible. The little counter tops are already single phase.  Most are made in gas form due to the energy cost.
