Out of the DOZENS of models they’ve made through the years, you couldn’t provide the model number that YOU have. So I’ll just offer a small list of possibilities which may affect any of them.Â

From what you described, it sounds like the motor isn’t able to start rotating. SO…here it goes:
A faulty electrical outlet (3 Ø unit)
A faulty electrical plug or cord (3 Ø unit)
Faulty internal wiring of equipment
One bad pole in contactors (3 Ø unit)
A bad start capacitor – if required (single Ø unit)
A bad motor winding
