    Hmmm…

     

    Out of the DOZENS of models they’ve made through the years, you couldn’t provide the model number that YOU have.  So I’ll just offer a small list of possibilities which may affect any of them. 

     

    From what you described, it sounds like the motor isn’t able to start rotating.  SO…here it goes:

    • A faulty electrical outlet (3 Ø unit)
    • A faulty electrical plug or cord (3 Ø unit)
    • Faulty internal wiring of equipment
    • One bad pole in contactors (3 Ø unit)
    • A bad start capacitor – if required (single Ø unit)
    • A bad motor winding

     

    These are just some of the possibilities…off the top of my head.

    Let’s not forget friction. In other words a load beyond what the motor is able to turn
