    Hoshizaki C100BAE-AD Ice maker suddenly stopped making ice

    Hoshizaki C100BAE-AD Ice maker suddenly stopped making ice. Hoshizaki C100BAE-AD was working great, now the motor is not running. I checked the gear motor reset switch, and when I push it, the motor and fan click on momentarily, but then stop.  Thinking of replacing the capacitor, relay, and protector switch in the control box.  Any thoughts?

    Never worked on this unit but if it has a start and run cap then I would change the run one. probably both now that you are getting at it.

     

    Are you able to measure the cap and relay to see if they are working? Should be able to measure the caps micro fahrad rating and see if the relay is engaging.

     

    Do you have the tools to properly troubleshoot are you guessing?
