I’ve never seen a time error message on one. I assume that it is probably a Ultra 2A. Correct me if I’m wrong please. The big question is if it’s new and not programmed yet or the same if the control board has been replaced. Normally they only show the torque sensor or the temp sensor as a error. The date, time, serial number and asset number have to be programmed at install. If it was never entered, that may be why time comes up.

Like to verify that you have a Ultra II, not a Ultra II A. They are different.

The most likely problem on that situation is improper assembly or the torque sensing pins are damaged or missing. The auger torque is what determines it the cooling comes on. If it has too much resistance to turning, or any binding, the cooling thinks that it has frozen enough.

Now the membrane pad is a different problem. When they set a long time, residual cleaners and sanitizers seep under the top membrane and corrode the contacts. Especially if stored in non heated spaces where humidity varies. Also when they sit, the connectors on the board oxidize. Often just unplugging and re plugging them will make a difference.

I don’t know where you are, but if you are in a coastal area, they had problems with the drive motor mounts corroding. They came out with a salt air mount to solve it.
